My name is Melissa, known to some as Melai, Issa or milaiski. I grew up in the land of the chilis and volcanoes in the Philippines, the Bicol Region. I am am ENTJ according to Carl Jung’s and Isabel Briggs Myers’ typology but generally I am mix of a nerd and a dork.
I’ve been existing in Manila since 2005. I have a dual background in Chemistry and International Health. Currently, I lead a team of 20 young ones and once in the monitoring and evaluation of health R&D projects. Every now and then, I also space out about Science policy, technology management and quality management. You’ll also find me juggling work with books, travelling, watching Asian shows till the wee hours of the morning, and getting lost in thoughts while observing people and figuring out the world.
Thoughtful Paper has been my outlet of my various insights about life, hobbies and experiences since 2010, although I’ve been blogging since 2006. Struggling to update, but still alive. I’m hoping to keep it that way.
