This is a self-indulging picture but for me this picture captured a moment when I thought I was ready. College graduation marked my transition from a world of learning to a world of reality. Not that the education process itself is not part of reality but graduation means I have to live beyond the comfort of my dormitory and classrooms. The diploma is symbolic of the education I received and the guns I carry to take on the harsh reality of the working world.

You guys are uniquely dressed up for the Graduation. That’s something. I was part of the boring Toga.
We call it sablay and it’s school (University of the Philippines) tradition. 🙂 We also use the sablay in events where we get recognized for our achievements (e.g oath taking, etc).
Good photo for ready. If there is ever a time to be ready it is when you are transitioning from student to the world of work and careers.
